I have a Grandmother, who we call Oma. Oma is a nice lady I guess, you have to say that right? My Oma and Opa were always harsh people. Both were extremely headstrong and soemtimes oblivious to the right thing to do.
My Oma is now in a nursing home since Opa passed away. They were living at a cottage in Three Lakes,WI. I have been going to that cottage since I was a baby. I spent all my summers there until I was about eleven. My family and I continue to pay the bills for the cottage so we are able to use it.
It was stated my Omas power of attorney that whenever someone visits the cottage Oma needs to be there. The problem here is that she is old. We love her, but she is scared of everything and wants everyone home by eight o clock, and that doesn't happen wehn you are on vacation. We have been saying Oma has Alsiemers for awhile now and just recently the nursing home said she was repeating herself and she needed tests.
The tests haven't come back yet but why do we even need to call it alsheimers. She is old, old people start to lose it. I hate how there is so much of a concern to title it. She doesn't want to leave her home, her power of attorney is as nuts as she is, and now becasue they didn't sign the house over we might lose it. There is reason to deem it as alseihmers becasue then they charge you more for care and then they will want to sell your assets. if crazy grandma wouldn't have been so stubborn we might not have lost the cottage if it were signed over earlier.

New Job
Right before spring break I was offered a position at a salon called The Wave. I was excited to have been offered a job, but was still very leery accepting it. The reason I was leery was because a week earlier I was told they weren't hiring.
I started the job the week after spring break and was on training. I had to do all the goofy things like training and kissing ass. Training was boring and almost made me more leery of the position.
I was happy about the job becasue I liked the girls I got to work with but one of them still seemed a little weird. Now that I have gotten to know them I still like them all, but I definitely bonded more with one than the others.
The job is going good so i guess first impressions arent all completely true. They definitly are a group of gossipy girls but all very nice and very good at what they do. I am glad i get to work and learn from them. Its definitely showed me I don't want to do this forever but I am glad about where i am now. It is a big change though with school and it has taken a lot of my time away from school work I should really be doing and devoting my time to.

Spring Break
It seems like every time I get a big break I need some type of crazy surgery. Last year I needed my wisdom teeth pulled right before New Years eve. They wanted to pull them on New Years Eve but luckily I said no. They puled them the second and ruined that break. This year for my spring break I needed my tonsils taken out.
I had a lot of gross weird symptoms and I was always sick. So, I decided to go to the doctor and see what was up. He told me I had cryptic tonsils which meant my tonsils were infected.
I couldnt see missing school to pay to get my tonsils out. i felt like if i did that I would be paying for school and paying for the surgery and that sucks. So, I ended up getting my tonsils out the Thursday before spring break.
The surgery wasn't to bad, I just felt really thirsty afterward. It was a horrible recovery and I still feel kinda messed up. I was miserable for at least two weeks and during that I thought it wasn't worth it at all. I am glad now that it is done and i don't have to worry about all those gross symptoms.

Nice Weather
I was so excited to hear that it was going to be nice weather again. I had been hearing that this last Tuesday was supposed to be up to almost seventy. I was pumped to go outside and do all the things I needed to do.
I think I procrastinate and get a little lazy in winter. I don't wash or clean out my car as much as I probably should and i start to slack on cleaning. I heard yesterday was suppose to be nice though and started to think about how much I had to do.
I had a class in the morning but i went back to my house after it was done. I still have a hard time realising all the stuff I finished. in between 11:30 and our class at 4:00 I got my car washed, my bike washed and waxed, my paper finished, laundry put away, and i went to the beach and played frisbee. Whoo!
I think this must be a general thing. Yesterday while I was driving around I saw so many people out and about. I saw a ton of people out on their motorcycles, so they had to get them ready, and I saw at least 3 other people washing their cars too! It was exciting to go to the beach and see other people there finally. I can't wait till it is nice out all the time.

The Bachelor
I have never really been much into those stupid reality tv shows, but this season I got kind of interested in The Bachelor. this season there was a bachelor on who was this indesicive emotional guy with a kid.
I don't remember the kids age he was like , maybe 5. This bachelor was on the show searching for a mom to his son and a wife. He expected whoever he picked to instantly become ty's mom and a house wife! To me this sounds ridiculous! They kept asking the women if they were ready to move to Seattle if they were picked, why can't he move or they decide later.
I don't know why I chose to watch the show when most of the time I wanted to swear at it, but that must have been the appeal.
It seemed that most of the women on the show were awkward around kids and couldn't handle taking care of anyone else let alone themselves. All reality shows are the same. People on them say ridiculously insightful kinds of things because they are promped to . It just makes the show seem more fake. I guess I watch because we take it as real and hope it to be, but it is probably just for publicity.
At the end of The Bachelor, they had an after the final rose show and the bachelor came back to say he didn't like the girl he picked! So the producers brought back the girl he didn't pick in the end for him to claim his contiuing love for her. They showed the girl say she still cared but had a lot of questions. Call it reality, there might be some people out there who would do that, but I thought it would have ended better say she just told him to bite himself, like she should have. That's what I would call reality, someone dumps you and asks someone else to marry them the same day, ah weird and move on!

Chick Flicks
So as unusual aas this is for me, I went to see Two movies in the last two weeks. I have stopped seeing so many movies at the movie theaters because not only is it totally expensive but those chairs you have to sit in are way more horrible than my couch! The first one I went to see was Uninvited and the second one I saw was New in Town.
I went to see both movies with guy friends except one handled it way better than the other. I had let it be known I was interested in seeing New in Town and the first friend I went with had little interest in anything specific. After deliberating what we would go see somehow I lost to a stubborn friend who claimed to be to good for a chick flick. We ended up watching an hour and a half , in uncomfortable seats, paying almost twenty bucks for two of us to see a totally meteocare movie. I won't say it was horrible it kept my interest enough to stay awake, but we both still walked out wanting something more.
The second movie, finally was my choice. I walked in happier knowing I was getting to see the movie I was really interested in seeing and my second guy friend walked in with a much more open mind. He never once said he was disappointed about seeing a chick flick and was just happy to be going out and doing something. We both laughed through the entire movie. It was well worth seeing. In this case we walked out happy, not carrying a somber kind-of- disappointed mood like the first.
I don't mind horror or suspense, or whatever most movies are trying to be now a days, but they are never quite put together right. There is a much better potential in walking into a romantic comedy and at least laughing, then a horror movie and being scared, therefore I don't understand why you would risk seeing a crappy movie compared to one that at least has a good rep. I mainly don't understand what goes through a guys mind to make him think that seeing a certain type of movie will change his manly hood? It changed my opinion and probably a lot of the other girls who have had to sit through your guys lame movie choices, because you were to much of a man to do what a girl wanted.

practical interviews?
I have been on the job hunt ever since I graduated school in December. I went to a salon in Sheboygan and had one interview. It went well and they proceeded to invite me back to do a practical interview. i had heard of some salons requesting this but had not experienced it yet.
The actual interview was on a Wednesday, I think, and the following Tuesday was my practical. I brought a model and all my stuff and showed up early, like usual. the manager looked at me i had to ask where to set up, she commented on me being very organized, and that was pretty much the last thing I heard from her until I was finished with my models hair. I was there for two hours!
They got busy at the salon and toke very little notice to me. I don't understand why you wouldn't block time to at least view my skills, you asked me to come in and use, rather than just see the end product. The end looked good, don't get me wrong, but if that is all they wanted to see they could have just looked at my portfolio.
I'm glad I got the opportunity and hope I get the job, but I am curious to see if i have to go through this again to see if it is the same. Maybe they have a reason, maybe to keep out of my way at that time, but I think if I was conducting the inteview I would do it differently. Sometimes, I think people don't put enough actual thought into who they hire. ( not just limited to this situation)
